Splunk is a dynamic and growing technology company based in San Francisco with operations around the world. The Facilities Technical Project Manager reports to the Sr. Director of Real Estate and Facilities and is responsible for leading all aspects of technical systems coordination for new office building fit-outs and refresh projects across Splunk’s entire real estate portfolio as well as Facilities related productivity and efficiency tools and reporting systems. This role requires knowledge of network wiring, wireless networking systems, cable/satellite TV distribution, audio and video conferencing and physical security systems and building infrastructure systems.
You will have prior experience with office building construction and fit-outs working on deadline driven projects and be able to travel 33% time.
Support Real Estate (RE) team on new office fit-out and renovation projects (including HQ and international locations)
Coordinate across RE and IT teams to ensure that networking, AV, printers and VC systems are installed according to Splunk standards
Coordinate with IT teams to develop standards for networking, AV and VC for Splunk offices and ensure standards are adaptable for varying conditions such as office size and regional variances
Support Physical Security team to ensure systems such as badge access and CCTV are installed in accordance with Splunk standards
Serve as technical liaison between RE, IT and Design-Build teams on all new office fit-outs and renovation projects and ensure that all systems projects remain on schedule and within budget
Identify cost savings and/or productivity opportunities for space occupancy, networking, AV, and VC implementations
Maintain a working knowledge of all current new technologies in the field
Install, program and solve problems in a variety of Real Estate and building support systems
Provide metrics reporting, trackers, dept dashboards and recommendations for efficiencies in build process and ensure on time delivery of projects
Comfortable in a dynamic, sometimes ambiguous, fast-growing environment
Previous experience working on building and office fit-out projects
Superb communication and interpersonal skills across many cultures.
Experience working with technical and non-technical team members
Technical background with knowledge of a broad range of wireless networking, AV, VC and physical security systems and demonstrated experience implementing these systems
4 years direct experience + 4 years foundational experience in Real Estate, IT, Construction or Facilities
Familiar with work environment and dynamics similar to Splunk.
The ability to specify requirements within international electrical systems & regulations
Develop systems for measuring space utilization in order to maximize efficiency of usage across all Splunk properties.
Global travel up to 33% of the time
BS/BA recommended or equivalent work experience
Prefer Splunk Certified User
